Terms and Conditions for Awase.shop

Effective Date: March 11, 2026

Welcome to Awase.shop (the "Platform"). By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. The "Marketplace of Plenty" Model

Awase.shop is a multi-vendor marketplace. We provide the technology for independent third-party sellers ("Vendors") to list and sell their goods.

  • The Role of Awase: We facilitate the transaction but are not the manufacturer, seller of record, or owner of the goods listed by Vendors.

  • The Contract of Sale: When a purchase is made, the contract for sale is directly between the Buyer and the Vendor.

2. User Accounts

To buy or sell on Awase, you must create an account.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

  • You must provide accurate and current information.

  • Accounts are non-transferable.

3. Vendor Responsibilities

Sellers on the platform must adhere to the Awase Seller Code:

  • Product Accuracy: Listings must be truthful and include original photography.

  • Fulfillment: Vendors are responsible for shipping orders within the timeframe specified in their shop policy.

  • Compliance: Vendors must comply with all local laws, including tax obligations and consumer rights.

4. Payments and Fees

  • Currency: All transactions are processed in [USD/LRD] unless otherwise stated.

  • Fees: Awase collects a commission on each successful sale. These fees are deducted automatically from the Vendor’s payout.

  • Payment Security: We use secure third-party processors. Awase does not store full credit card details on our servers.

5. Returns, Refunds, and Disputes

  • Vendor Policies: Each Vendor sets their own return policy, which must be clearly displayed on their product page.

  • Mediation: If a dispute arises between a Buyer and a Vendor that cannot be resolved privately, Awase may (but is not obligated to) act as a mediator to find a fair resolution based on the "Grace Principle."

6. Prohibited Conduct and Items

To protect our community, the following are strictly prohibited:

  • The sale of illegal, counterfeit, or stolen goods.

  • Harassment, hate speech, or fraudulent activity.

  • "Fee Avoidance": Directing Awase customers to complete a transaction outside of the Platform to bypass commission fees.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Our Content: The Awase logo, brand name, and website design are the property of Dunnock Group of Companies and are protected by copyright laws.

  • Your Content: By listing products, Vendors grant Awase a non-exclusive license to use their product images and descriptions for marketing the Platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

Awase.shop is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Awase shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or punitive damages arising from the use of the site or the purchase of goods from third-party Vendors.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account (Buyer or Vendor) that violates these Terms, harms the reputation of the marketplace, or engages in fraudulent behavior.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Liberia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Monrovia, Liberia.

By clicking "I Agree" or by continuing to use the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
